Lad culture’s really onto a winner.

As a girl, if you laugh along and tolerate it then no lines get drawn and anything goes, to the point where such hilarious gems as ‘it’s not rape if you say surprise first’ and ‘85% of rape cases go unreported - that seems to be fairly good odds’ are met with snorts of unthinking laughter.

If you reject it and don’t appear to find banter the height of comedic genius then you’re a killjoy, you’re boring. You’re taking it too seriously, you don’t understand it, you’re the very reason it’s a ‘lad’ thing. Because banter is a lad thing, like the kitchen is a girl thing.

I haven’t blogged in over two months - I’m a terrible blogger. Since then I’ve been to Glastonbury, recovered, Hop Farm, recovered, Benicassim, recovered, and Latin camp, which didn’t require any recovering. Now I’m trying to motivate myself to sort things out by writing lists, earn some money and fix things making me unhappy before university. And I’m listening to Glenn Miller and trying to keep my mind off the state of London. The world is full of selfish, ignorant, degenerate, immoral people. It might be time for another Flood.
